Three decades on the tools
Long before the Canata name existed, our founder spent more than thirty years in the trades: framing, finishing and running crews on homes and institutional sites across Ontario. That is where the standard came from. If it is not right, it gets redone.

Canata is founded
Canata Group Construction opens its doors in the GTA, a general contractor built around a simple promise: one accountable team from first sketch to final walkthrough.
- The proving years
Institutions start calling
WSIB clearance, $2M liability coverage and a clean track record put Canata on approved-vendor lists. Projects follow for the University of Toronto, Peel Region, GTA police divisions and student residences in Waterloo, alongside hundreds of homeowner renovations.
- 2026
Exclusive Linshia partnership
Canata becomes the exclusive installation partner for Linshia, whose windows, doors, pergolas and sunrooms are designed in Italy and made here in Ontario. It puts a level of quality within reach of families who had budgeted for something ordinary.
